We will support those who have served in the defence of our nation

Always Care Services offers veterans, war widows and widowers (entitled persons) access to a range of nursing and personal care services provided in your home by qualified nurses and support staff. Our aim is to enhance your health and independence, enabling you to remain in your own home for longer.

What services are available to me?

Our services for those who served and their loved ones include household and domestic support, and help with medication, wound care, hygiene, showering and dressing. Palliative care services are also available if required.

How do I know if
I am eligible?

To be eligible to receive Always Care nursing services for an assessed clinical need, you must hold a Gold or a White DVA health card. If you are eligible, there is no cost to you, as DVA will fund services delivered to you by Always Care.

Where do I start?

To be eligible for our nursing services you need to have a written referral provided to Always Care from your GP, a treating doctor in hospital, a hospital discharge planner, or the Veterans’ Home Care Assessment Agency.

Referrals need to outline the necessary services that you require to meet your assessed nursing needs for relevant medical conditions or the domestic or household support you need.

Referrals from your GP or a nurse practitioner are valid for 12 months, at which time a new referral is required. Referrals from hospitals are only valid for 6 weeks, at which time a new referral from your GP is required.

Aged Care Services

We are here to help you remain independent as you get older.

Always Care Services can provide nursing and home care services that will help you live independently as you get older. Our aim is to maintain your good health and independence, enabling you to remain in your own home for longer.

What services are available to me?

Whatever your needs, our team are here to help you with a range of nursing, domestic and personal care services provided by our compassionate staff in your home. Always Care, in partnership with Trilogy Care, offer these services to the aged who are ACAT-approved.

How do I know if
I am eligible?

A current ACAT approval is all you need to access these services. If you do not have an ACAT approval, visit the My Aged Care website for more information.
